We took advantage of the lovely weather this afternoon and went for a boat ride on Lago Cuicocha. This is a sacred lake for the Kichwa people. Lago Cuicocha translates to "Guinea Pig Lake," so named because its small uninhabited islands resemble the creatures.

Antonio wasn't able to join us as he had an obligation in Otavalo, but he hired a pickup truck which took us to the lake and back.
