Paulina asked if I would like to help with dinner. She had mixed up some dough for tamalitos with chipilin leaves and tayuyo. You roll the tamalito and chipilin dough in your hands, and then wrap it in a corn husk leaf. The tayuyo dough is patted flat, and then a paste of black beans is spread on top. Then it is separated into strips and then rolled between your hands and wrapped in the corn husk leaves in the same manner as the tamalitos. They are then steamed and served with salsa, cheese, guacamole, and hot sauce. It was fun to learn how to roll and wrap them.
