This afternoon we checked into Hotel Mainao in Puerta Ayora. It has a very whimsical architectural style, made of adobe painted white, with a Spanish tile roof. It meanders with various staircases, and all of the accents, from the patio floors to the domed roofs, are decorated with colorful ceramic tile mosaics.
