then we all went for a walk down the road to the family's other land. Rosa, Javier, and the kids picked chochos (lupins), a food which has been an Andean tradition for thousands of years. They also grow corn on the land. They usually grow quinoa as well, but apparently it hasn't been a successful crop for the past 2 years. Rosa didn't get as many chochos as she wanted, as the birds had beaten her to them. - DSC04926
