Sunday, August 31, 2025 - Sunday with the FamilyWe slept until 10:15 a.m. Clearly, we had needed the sleep. Thank goodness we had opted out of a 6 a.m. pickup to go to the pools! Antonio was worried about our health. His phone wasn't working, so he made a quick trip home from work to see if we were ok. We still weren't feeling 100%, but we were definitely a little bit better. For breakfast, we wanted to play it safe and not eat anything greasy or oily. So we just had bread with ham and cheese, and coffee/hot chocolate.We packed up more of our things in advance of our trip home tomorrow. Oreo the puppy appeared today, wearing a bandana. Ok, he definitely belongs to someone else. But he sure likes to come over here a lot to get whatever food and attention he can. Lunch was tomato soup and pasta with tuna. By afternoon, we were starting to feel better. We took hot showers, and then the kids wanted to play Uno. If Nena doesn't have a Wild card, she doesn't want to play. And she has absolutely no poker face. Yupanki is a shameless cheat, so we all ganged up against him. One time, Nena was upset that she didn't have any Wild cards, and didn't want to play. We coaxed her to continue playing, and she wound up winning the hand.  |
